5K / Progressive Marathon Welcome to The San Francisco MarathonT 5K and Progressive Marathon! The 5K course is flat, fast and USATF Certified. Progressive Marathon participants run or walk 26.2 miles over a period of weeks or months, finishing their final 3.1 miles on Race Day in either the 5K Use the links below to answer your questions, or you can also check our FAQs page for more information. 5K Online Registration is available Click here to register online. 5K - $30.00 The 5K Course The start and finish is located on the Embarcadero south of Ferry Building. This scenic 5K loop course runs along the newly restored waterfront with Bay views, running underneath the Bay Bridge and passing the Giants' AT&T Park. The 5K starts at 7:45 AM. View a map of the course. Return to topTiming The 5K will have Champion Chip Timing at the Start and Finish for those who want to be timed. There is an additional $30 charge if you do not turn your chip in at the Finish Line. If you do not want a pdf emailed to you, please be sure to include your address. Return to top5K Participants Receive All 5K participants will receive an Official RunSFM T-Shirt. Progressive Marathon participants also receive a finisher's medal. Return to top5K Packet Pick-Up 5K Run/Walk Participants may pick up their bibs at the Expo from August 1-2, 2008 or on August 3, 2008 (5K participants are the ONLY ones who can pick up their bibs on Race Day). Return to topProgressive Marathon Progressive Marathon participants run or walk 26.2 miles over a period of weeks or months, finishing their final 3.1 miles on Race Day in either the 5K Run or the 5K Walk. Participants keep track of their miles on an Interval Sheet that will be available soon. Finishers receive a Marathon finisher's medal. In order to receive your Progressive Marathon medal, you must be registered for the Progressive Marathon and bring your Interval Sheet with you to the Expo Registration or the Information Booth. The 23.1 miles you run prior to race day can be run anywhere. They do not need to be official races or associated with RunSFM. They also do not need to be a part of the RunSFM course. Return to topProgressive Marathon Participants Receive Progressive Marathoners will receive an Official RunSFM T-Shirt and a medal (provided that you turn in your interval sheet and complete the 5K). Return to topProgressive Marathon Interval Sheets Progressive Marathon participants must complete this Interval Sheet and complete the 5K in order to receive their medal. Bring this sheet with you to pick up your 5K Run/Walk bib either at the Expo on Friday August 1st, Saturday August 2nd, or Sunday August 3rd at the Information Booth near the Awards Stage.
